After the shocking event on Reaping Day, Katniss had to do some severe training for her body before entering the arena for the annual Hunger Games. Lady Gaga´s lyrics are “You can’t have my heart and you won’t use my mind, but do what you want with my body.” I feel that no matter what the creators of the games do with Katniss´ style and physical state, no one can break her amazing personality.
"ROAR" Katy Perry
Katniss first participated on the Hunger Games as a young, inexperienced child. After the murderous event she went from being an ordinary girl to a brave survivor who fights for what she thinks it´s right.
"Applause" Lady Gaga
I think this song is so relatable to Katniss because for a while she literally lived thanks to the people´s applauses and support. She received food, weapons and basic needs from all the watchers of the games. Just like the artist sang “I stand here waiting for you to bang the gong/To crash the critic saying, “Is it right or is it wrong?” All the participants are expected to complete the public's expectations.
